296 GTB and Challenge Test Salzburgring

The Ferrari Challenge Series  - That is performance, excitement, talent and challenging circuits tackled behind the wheel of Prancing Horse vehicles.

The challenge series also attracts some of the best racing drivers around the globe.

One of those pilots is Adrian Sutil, a former Formula 1 Driver. He took part in seven seaons between 2007 – 2014. As a retired racing driver, he was seeking for new adventures. 

Long story short, the Ferrari Challenge Europe was the perfect Match. As a long time customer at „Gohm Böblingen“, Adrian found the perfect Partner – „Gohm Motorsport“. After his 1st Place in the second race of the season at the Paul Richard Course (LeCastellet - France) it was time to finalize and adjust some settings for the car. For this reason Adrian and the Gohm Motorsport Team made their way to the Challenge Test Days at the Salzburgring in June. 

The first day was very special as it rained almost the whole day. Neither the less, Adrian took his red 488 Challenge Evo on the track. The other 488 Evos  were driven by Challenge aspirants who were astounded how well the car handles the difficult conditions caused by the heavy downfall of rain.

On the second day, tires needed to be switchted to slicks as the rain eventually stopped the night before. The sun already showed its warmth in the morning hours, that said, conditions were just perfect.. Now the whole potential of the 488 Challenge Evo was about to get unleashed. Stint after stint, Adrian demonstrated why the Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo is one of the most succesful racing cars in the recent years. 

In between the stints, customers had the possibility to watch the mechanics adjusting dampers, and changing multiple settings.
